ABOUT US

Krupalaya, Global Vision Trust International, located in Bangalore, India is a voluntary organisation committed to the education and empowerment of women and children from socially and economically disadvantaged communities including construction workers, slum and pavement dwellers. The Centre follows a secular approach to promoting peace and harmony among people of the surrounding areas and villages.

The main area of involvement has been the development of children, primarily through education, health care and hygiene. Our children are provided with milk and a mid-day meal each day, clean clothes (uniforms), medical assistance as and when required and small gifts when available through the year.

Krupalaya encourages and empowers women to create a healthy atmosphere in the family, by instilling in them an understanding of the nutritional value in different foods, managing illness and helping those women who work by caring for their children at the school. Women are introduced and trained in different projects that will enable them with the means to further provide a supplemental income for their families. Classes on tailoring and embroidery have many students at present.
